7 Days of Self Love. Day 1

QUEENSized Challenge

My awesome friend has created a challenge that I feel we all need to participate in. Go to her blog for details. Below is my Day 1.

I love my creativity. I have amazingly vivid dreams that are often reoccurring. I can create whole worlds, relationships, and lives from listening to one song. I dream up scenarios and have conversations with my characters that make them real. I can connect emotions to situations that people may overlook. I can make my readers think. I can make them cry. I can make them mad. I love this gift that God has given me. Even when I take it for granted, I am quickly reminded that it is a GIFT and I am grateful.

I love my desire to help. I often joke about always being asked to help someone, and although I do have to put limits on my assistance so not to run myself dry (I am still learning to set boundaries), I love that God has blessed me with skills and things that help those I love. I’ve done countless resumes, ticket purchases, troubleshooting devices, planned parties, you name it! But the fact that I am dependable and people feel that they can count on me, makes me happy. I can make an impact.

I love my randomness. This probably goes with my creativity, but I am so random at times. I love that I can hold intelligent conversations and quote movies and song lyrics in the same conversation. I can watch cartoons and documentaries. I can listen to gospel and have a full Jagged Edge and 2Pac concert.

I love my resilience. I may be slow in progress or sometimes stalled, but I’ll never give up my dream. I’ll never stop doing what God called me to do. I’ll always desire to be better. No matter what hurts, no matter what fails, if there is a way…I’ll look for it.

I love my God. Technically, He’s a part of me so He goes on this Day 1 challenge. All of these things I love about myself come from Him. That’s it! Period.

I loved this! I share that same love for creativity. I think its amazing how we can create and get lost in these fictional worlds. & You’re definitely always the one lending a helping hand. I send you crap all the time to help me with. Just know I appreciate it all. I loved one of your positive affirmations so much, its going on my wall of affirmations. Good post!

I read your entire post and when I got to that verse….that is my verse. And I just shared it w/my bible study group a few minutes ago. When this verse hits me, I see it everywhere. Keep swimming (in my Nemo voice).
