Late night poetry session

Poetry was my first baby. I wrote my first poem when I was eight and that’s when I fell in love with words. Once I got older and ventured off into fiction, I felt my poetry was too personal to share.

When I released Birds in the Rain, I realized that I still loved poetry and had to push through my fear of my own personal emotions being on display.  If you know me, you know I always say, “your pain can help someone else.” Jay Z said it best, “People going through pain, I’m just walking ’em through it.”

Here’s a piece I just uploaded that will be featured in Birds in the Rain: Volume 2.
