A few weeks ago, I began a series of Facebook live messages called #CashTalkTuesday. I got the idea from my writing coach who suggested it as a way to engage aspiring writers as I began my writing coaching services. I’m still getting into the flow of things, but I love the fact that I’m able to share my tips and experiences as a writer with people who are interested in starting their own journey.
Last night’s #CashTalkTuesday was about writer’s block. I shared three tips on how to get past this dreaded enemy and you can check it out on my Facebook page. (Just search Christian Cashelle and I should pop up).
One of my tips is to do writing prompts. Below are a few that I wanted to share to help get the creative juices flowing!
Writing Prompt #1
Write about the earliest birthday you remember. Try to use all of your memory senses to think about how you felt, what you did, what you ate, who was there, etc.
Writing Prompt # 2
Start a short story with this sentence: “I can’t believe his blood is on my hands now.”
Writing Prompt # 3
Listen to your favorite song. Write a short story based on the lyrics.
I’m going to pick one of the above and post mine hopefully later this week. Feel free to share yours as well!
Great tips. Keep up the great work.
